They’re both identified after renowned pop singers-knows everything in reference to being good looking, trendy, and unconditionally trendy. Mysterious Island: Intentionally paced fantasy venture based on 2-part Jules Verne novel, a continuation to his 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Confederate jail escapees hijack a hot air balloon and are blown off course. They find themselves on an uncharted island with monstrous animals. Incredible visual effects by Ray Harryhausen and an exciting Bernard Herrmann score. Cast includes Michael Craig, Joan Greenwood, Michael Callan, Gary Merrill, and Herbert Lorn. (101 minutes, 1951)
Saw 2: There has been a new murder, and all the evidence makes it look like Jigsaw is at it again. Detective Eric Mathews starts to hunt Jigsaw down. He catches him easily, but quickly learns that there are eight other victims already fighting for their lives. So once again, Jigsaw holds all the cards.
The Sign of Zorro: Few shows of Disney’s Zorro Television show plastered together; awkward continuity sabotages what charm the succession had to offer. Cast includes Lewis R. Foster. Man Williams, Henry Calvin, Gene Sheldon, Britt Lomond, George J. Lewis, and Lisa Gaye. (91 minutes, 1960)
